Coronavirus update

To my valued patients,

I hope this letter finds you and your family doing well. Our community has been through a lot in the last few months, and we are all feeling the unsettling effects of Covid-19. However one thing you can count on is my unyielding dedication to providing you with the highest quality of dental care, with your overall health and safety being my utmost priority.

My staff and I follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as state and local officials. We follow these agencies daily so that we are up-to-date on any new guidance that may be issued.

All of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines, and for me this means re-opening the office for patient care. Infection control has always been paramount in the office, and some procedures have been updated to create a safe and comfortable environment for your future dental visits. You will notice the changes when it is time for your next appointment. For example:

- Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again once you are in the office for a timely health assessment.

- We want to limit the number of people in the office at any one time, so we ask that you call the office from your car when you arrive in the parking lot.

- All persons entering the office will wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be provided for your use when entering the office.

- Your temperature will be taken when you arrive with a non-contact thermometer.

- You may see that our reception area will no longer offer magazines since those items are difficult to disinfect, and seating will be spaced apart.

- Appointment times will also be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

Following New Jersey State recommendations, we have developed a three-phase plan to reopen the office. We will be contacting you to reschedule all missed appointments. Thank you for your patience, cooperation and understanding.

Remember to maintain your dental health at home. Brush your teeth after every meal, use dental floss daily, and replace your toothbrush every three months and if you have been ill.

We look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Until then, thank you for your trust and loyalty.

Warm regards,

Dr. Christine A. Golis, D.D.S. and Staff
